2nd/3rd Grade Pitching and Catching Clinic

Hello Scarsdale Baseball Families!

We are planning a pitching and catching clinic for 2nd and 3rd graders during the regular Spring season.  The clinic would run once a week in the Spring and teach kids who are interested in either pitching, catching, or both, the fundamentals of these positions.   The clinics will be run by experienced volunteers and will not cost anything extra beyond the 2nd and 3rd grade registration fee.

Assuming there is enough demand, we will finalize the program and be in touch with all of the details.

2020 Spring Season - Kindergarten T-Ball

T-Ball is loads of fun and a great way to introduce the game of baseball to our young ball players.  Historically, it has been one our largest leagues with as many as 12-14 teams.  Teams are coached by parent volunteers and composed of kids selected randomly by elementary school.  The focus is fun - take lots of pictures.

Games are likely to be held on Saturdays at 3pm, and practices are typically on Sundays, but are ultimately determined by the coach/manager.  Rules can be found under the Forms/Rules tab on your left.

If you'd like to coach, manage or volunteer, you can share this information as part of the registration process.

Also, please tell other K families. This is the group entering the program. As such, SLL does not have the contact information for prospective families.

Locations and times of games, programs, and events will be determined based on field availability and are subject to change.

No refunds will be given for games, programs, and/or events that are cancelled for any reason including inclement weather or unsafe field conditions.

Please note that we do NOT accept AMEX.  We accept all other major credit cards.  Thank you.

2020 Winter/Spring Workouts (2nd & 3rd Grade)

Get Ready for Baseball Season!

In preparation for the upcoming season, SLL is hosting pre-season skill development clinics on five Saturdays in February and March beginning February 29, 2020, run by Warrior Baseball NY (http://warriorny.com/).  As the clinics are held indoors, space is limited to 30 players per session!

The sessions will address the needs of new as well as more experienced players, and this is an opportunity to dust off the cobwebs and continue to reinforce skill development. The main areas of emphasis will include hitting, fielding and throwing, and there will also be pitching and catching stations.

While the clinics are not mandatory, they are designed to help players develop the specific skills and mindset needed to play at an age-appropriate level and to gain confidence ahead of the spring season. SLL coaches have seen genuine results as players who have attended Winter/Spring Clinics prior to the regular season have developed consistent, repeatable skills in key areas.

Dates & Times:

Clinic sessions will be held on five Saturdays: February 29th, March 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th at Warrior Baseball NY (36 Midland Avenue, Port Chester, NY, 10573) from 1:00-2:30pm.

Fees & Registration:

The cost for the five-week package of clinic sessions is $225 per player.  Players may sign up for individual sessions with a cost of $45 per session.

2020 Spring Season - Second Grade

Second Grade Little League remains one of our best programs given the skill development that takes hold and the knowledge the kids develop about the rules and strategy of baseball.  And boy, can they hit the ball!  As with our younger leagues, we remain fortunate to consistently develop a program with 11-13 teams. Teams are coached by parent volunteers and it will be the last year when kids are selected randomly by elementary school.  The focus remains on having fun and giving kids great exposure to the game we all know and love.

Games are likely to be held on Thursdays at 6pm and Saturdays at 11am and practices are determined by your coaches.  Rules can be found under the

2020 Spring Season - Third Grade

Third Grade Little League is a big year given that players from the various schools are mixed, teams are formed based on player ratings and games include a combination of coach and kid pitch.  Skills development advances as does strength and understanding of the game.  There are no tryouts and skills development and understand/learning mechanics remain critical components of practice.

The Third Grade program has typically included 10-12 teams, which are coached by parent volunteers.  The focus remains on having fun and giving kids great exposure to the game we all know and love.

Games are likely to be held on Mondays at 6pm and Saturdays at 1pm and practices are ultimately determined by your coach/manager.  Rules can be found under the

2020 Spring Season - Atlantic / Pacific League (Grades 4-6)

For our Pacific and Atlantic Leagues, SLL forms teams by age rather than by grade in order to conform to the rules of Little League International, the governing entity with which SLL is affiliated.  An age-based structure has been demonstrated to be a more successful construct for skill development, competition and safety.

Pacific League includes all players of "baseball" ages 9 through 11 (generally grades 4-5) who either did not attend the Fall Evaluations or are not invited to play Atlantic.

Atlantic League includes players of "baseball" ages 10 through 12 ( generally grades 5-6 with some exceptions) who attended the Fall Evaluations and are invited. Please note that all those of “baseball” age 12 are required to play in Atlantic.  Atlantic has mainly been made up of players in grades 5 through 6. It is rare for a 4th grade or younger player to play in Atlantic.

For more detailed information about each league and about "baseball" ages, please see the Little League Description section of our website.

Expected schedule:

Pacific games:      Wed 6:00 pm, Sat 11:30 am

Atlantic games:     Tues 6:00 pm, Sat 9:00 am

Rules for each league are posted under the Forms/Rules tab on the menu to the left.
