The batting cages at the Supply Field are now open for Little League use!!
The cages provides an excellent opportunity to give focused one-on-one batting instruction to our teams.
As with past seasons, target usage will be for teams in 3rd grade and up.
Reservation can ONLY be made through the Grade Coordinators, just as they would a practice field.
New this year!
Over the winter, SLL purchased another pitching machine that will be stored in the shed on the Softball side of the cage and may be utilized in the event that both alleys are open. If someone comes with a permit to use the softball cage, you must let them use the cage.
Process
Jeff Koslowsky and Michael Nathanson are the Cage Coordinators for the Spring season.
Jeff will handle 3rd and 4th grade as well as the 7th and 8th grade Travel teams.
Michael will handle Atlantic, Pacific and the Junior League.
o At regular intervals, Jeff and Michael will provide each of the Grade Coordinators a set of time slot allocations.
o Each Grade Coordinator will determine an equitable distribution method.
o The Cage Coordinator will provide ultimate confirmation of each slot by sending the Coach a Village Permit and a Cage Confirmation affirming their time and date in the cage.
o The Coach MUST bring the Confirmation to the cage at the appointed time along with their Village Permit.
o Safety is paramount...so please read and adhere to the Cage Coordinator guidelines and Village Rules.
